Sama Ibm started in 2026 as a sub divison of Vienna based Sama Recordings label. It is here to explore both meditative and floor-focused material in and around the bass music continuum.
The inaugural catalogue release "Idiosyncratic Bass Music Vol. 1" features seven forward-thinking tracks by established artists from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.
-----------
Dub infected bass music that resists the urge to closely define itself, unfolding at its own pace. Slightly off-center in form and feeling, built around textures and rhythms that feel intimate and personal rather than polished.
The low end provides a steady gravity, anchoring the sound, while the finer details reveal themselves over time —unfamiliar tones, patient structures, and dynamic sound design offer moments of deliberate space.
It’s music that invites close listening, not through insistence, but through subtlety. Music that offers great depth to those who linger while remaining inconspicuous in its presence.
